Buildings are a group of structures in Minute Frontier. They are frequently seen throughout the player's journey, assisting the player by providing healing, changing Jobs and even transporting to different dimensions.

HOME

Found at the very start of the game at 0.0km, this building serves as a quick tutorial for new players. When entered, Home cycles through three textboxes that explain certain mechanics about the game. These tips introduce you to the role of the home as a tutorial, discusses each of the base character stats, as well as recommended Jobs that the player should first upgrade.

When dying with a pet after playing a certain amount of time, entering Home can give the option for the player to watch an advertisement video in exchange to return their pet, or go back to the last place before death. Note that selecting the latter option will remove the pet from the game.

PET BOARDING

This building is found at the very start of the game at 0.0km, after the player has unlocked the Tamer job by progressing to 8.7km. Pet Boarding allows the player to leave their current pet inside, emptying their pet slot, and leaving the pet waiting until it is picked up again from the building. The building has space for two pets. Attempting to pick a pet when the player already has a pet following them will swap the boarded and unboarded pets. If the player acquires the Summons ability from either the Summoner or the Onmyoji, the pets in Pet Boarding can infrequently attack enemies. The attacking pet is determined by their position within Pet Boarding, with the pet in the left slot being summoned on odd-numbered screens, and the pet in the right slot being summoned on even-numbered screens. No EXP will be passed onto the boarded pets when Summons procs.

TEMPLE

Temples are found dotting the landscape of the adventure, often coming after boss fights. They are where the player can swap between the currently unlocked Jobs. Inside, the player is able to view all the jobs in MinuteFrontier by pressing the left and right arrows at the bottom of the screen. Each job displays their current level. When selecting a new job, there is a brief animation of a curtain coming down to obscure the player's character as they switch into their newly selected job. When selected, a job's name and its stat growth are displayed. Once they have selected a job, either a new one or remaining as the same job, pressing the Done button exits the player out of the temple and returns them to the adventure.

Any undiscovered jobs being hidden in silhouette, and they cannot be selected, preventing viewing of their information. All jobs will share the player's currently equipped weapon, which is visible even in silhouette.

INN

Inns are found across the land, being less frequent than Temples. These building provide a bit of respite from the constant fighting with monsters, being an empty screen that the player can easily traverse for a free +0.1km distance towards their trek to defeating Lucifer. In these empty screens, Inns allow the player to heal at an accelerated rate while standing outside the building or when resting inside. While inside this building, the player can heal their HP faster by tapping the screen. Every tap will produce a shimmer on the character sprite, healing 1HP per tap. Alternatively, the option to watch an ad to instantly replenish all missing health is sometimes provided. The speed of healing inside or outside the Inn is calculated in this formula, see more in Abilities:

Heal Speed = (Natural Healing Ability Level + Sleep Recovery Level) / second

DIMENSIONAL DOOR

The Dimension Door can be unlocked after reaching 51.9 km in the first world. This building allows the player to transfer from one dimension to another, which increases the difficulty of the game in a similar manner to a New Game Plus system. By using the Dimension Door for the very first time, the Dimension Door will appear at 0.1 km for all unlocked and locked worlds. Each time the level of the world changes, the character restarts at Home, from the beginning of the selected world. Progressing past the Door, the player will encounter Lucifer and the Demon Wall.

Keep in mind that if the player dies or goes home before unlocking World 2, despite having found the Dimension Door already, they will go back to 0.0 km without unlocking the dimension door at 0.1km.

In higher level worlds, enemies are stronger, give more EXP and Weapon Drop rises. There are also 5 unique powerful bosses in each of the five extra worlds, all encountered at the 51.9 km.

For more information on the unique bosses, see the Boss page.

HOVEL

0

Hovel takes place inside a building that resembles the HOME of the character. During the game's update history, this building was placed at varying locations, notably a screen after the Dimensional Door, and just before the Lucifer fight. In it is a message from the author, accompanied with a kneeling Villager, saying:

"APOLOGY FROM AN AUTHOR

I'M SORRY.

THIS IS THE TERMINATION OF THE PRESENT VERSION.

PLEASE WAIT A MOMENT.

I CONTINUE DEVELOPING THIS GAME.

THANK YOU FOR PLAYING!!"

There is then the option to review the game or go back home at the start of the current world.
